E-tickets Terms of Use Details:

Atom mobile payment solutions is a GPRS based mobile payment facility available to Atom customers for availing IRCTC services at a service fee.

Atom Technologies Limited (“Atom”) will send the communication on the status of the reservation request in the form of SMS and e mail on the registered mobile no. and the provided e mail id.

This service is provided to Atom customer using the GPRS based mobile network, and secured internet connectivity with IRCTC. Atom also is connected via secured internet (https) with the payment gateway services of banks for acceptance of cards of atom customers. The request of ticket reservation amount is forwarded first to bank for confirmation of the payment. Only on receipt of payment confirmation from bank, the reservation request is sent to IRCTC for booking.

Atom customer understands that the tickets are booked by IRCTC only after receiving the communication from atom that the payment is confirmed. If IRCTC cannot book the tickets, the amount charged on card of atom customer will be refunded as per the existing rules of IRCTC, bank providing the payment gateway services to us and card issuing bank of atom customer. As a general practice the refunds are processed in 5 to 7 working days, however Atom does not guarantee this. This also applies to the refunds for cancellation of the tickets.

In the event of Atom not getting any response from IRCTC of having booked or not booked the tickets, Atom will communicate the same to Atom customer.

Atom customer agrees that, if due to any reason such as network communication failures, the payment cannot be confirmed and or ticket/s cannot be booked/cancelled, Atom shall not be responsible. Atom shall not be responsible for any interruption or delay or error in services provided by IRCTC.

For E-ticket: The customer shall take a printout of the Electronic Registration Slip (ERS) and perform the journey duly carrying the authorized Original Identity Card of any one of the passengers traveling whose name is listed in the PNR (Passenger Name Record) during train journey. In case the passenger traveling against E-ticket is not carrying the printed copy of the “Electronic Registration Slip” during his/her journey, a nominal charge of Rs.50/- is chargeable by the TTE/Conductor Guard in the train against an excess fare ticket. E-ticket can be booked upto the chart preparation time for the train. For verification of the E-tickets by the TTE a valid photo identity card of any one of the passengers should be provided. The following Photo Identity Cards are considered valid: Passport, Voter Identity Card, Driving License, Pancard, Central Government or State Government Issued Employee identification & for Non-Indians their country’s passport will constitute sole authorized ID.

If for any reason, IRCTC is not able to confirm the reservation, the entire amount debited from the customer’s card account will be credited back to the customer’s card account. If the customer wants to try for the same reservation again, it will be treated as a fresh booking.

E-Tickets (Reservations) can be cancelled only through Atom till chart preparation of the train and it is not allowed at face to face Railway counters. If the user wishes to cancel his E-ticket, he/she can do so till the time of chart preparation for the train (which is normally 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train from the train starting station. In case of trains starting up to 12.00 noon the chart preparation is usually done on the previous night. Through Atom, cancellation would be confirmed online & the refund would be credited back to the bank/card account used for booking. If there is any partial cancellation of ticket please ensure that the modified ticket (Electronic Reservation Slip) is printed separately.

In case of cancellation/diversion/termination/short of destination of trains, the Indian Railways Rules which contain limitations and exclusions relating to the liability of the Indian Railways to the customer in respect of loss or damage caused by the delay/diversion/termination short of destination and/or cancellation of any train, any missed connection, or closure of the railway shall apply. Atom expressly disclaims liability for any of the aforesaid.

IRCTC service charges for each ticket vary by number of passengers and class. Charges are displayed before payment.

An additional transaction fees is also charged at a rate approved by IRCTC.

For Credit card payments, an additional transaction charge of 1.8% on the total transaction value is presently levied by the card issuing bank. This is subject to change from time to time.

All rules and regulations applicable for reservation of seats/berths and charging of fare for rail reservation on Indian Railway’s PRS and IRCTC will also apply to reservations through Atom. For more details, go to http://www.irctc.co.in
